Iyengar Yoga is for those who are curious and interested in what yoga can bring to them and how yoga transforms body, breath, and mind. In Iyengar yoga, we generally take poses individually and see how our work in them works on us, creating space, strength, stamina and/or flexibility. We use props to get the most out of the poses and work safely. In this way, students progress to more challenging poses with bodily integrity and with accompanying internal growth as well.
Iyengar teachers train for at least three years before becoming certified and must continue to study to maintain their certification.
